UWC Vietnam's Facebook Page

Image 1 United World Colleges National Committee in Vietnam (shortly called UWC Vietnam) is a group of volunteers in charge of the promotion of the United World Colleges movement and the selection of Vietnamese scholars for the United World Colleges scholarships in Vietnam. UWC Vietnam also raises fund for its activities and to increase the number of the scholarship opportunities available for Vietnamese students. Since 2002, UWC Vietnam has sent 43 Vietnamese scholars from eighteen cities and provinces (An Giang, Binh Phuoc, Can Tho, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Hai Duong, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Hung Yen, Khanh Hoa, Long An, Nghe An, Ninh Thuan, Quang Nam, Tay Ninh, Thai Binh and Vung Tau) to ten United World Colleges in Canada, Italy, India, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Norway, Singapore, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. Most of those Vietnamese scholars who graduated from their United World Colleges are now studying at top universities in the world with scholarships. Some have graduated and are working in different continents.

The United World Colleges scholarships are for 11th graders to gain an International Baccalaureate degree and the unique experience at one of the United World Colleges. Scholarships include tuition, room and board for two years of study at the school. Air tickets, pocket money, medical insurance and other costs are not normally included. Relevant United World Colleges and UWC Vietnam may consider paying for some of these expenses in special cases when selected students have difficulties matching the costs. Partial scholarships and placement without funding may also be provided, depending on each in-take.

More information about the UWC scholarships and the selection process in Vietnam, please see the Scholarships section.
